As the world prepares for the new year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that it is ready to distribute the first doses of the new vaccine for chicken pox.
But a key question is whether you need it.
“We expect that all of the U.S. states will be able to get their first doses on or around January 31, with no restrictions or delays,” says CDC director Dr. Thomas Frieden.
“In the meantime, the CDC is continuing to monitor the situation in some of the states that have been hardest hit by the outbreak, and will continue to make every effort to ensure that everyone in the United States is vaccinated as soon as possible.”
The vaccine will be available for purchase in all states, but not in many, including Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
States in the Southeast and Midwest have been hit particularly hard, but those areas are expected to be fully vaccinated on January 31.
Here are the questions you should ask before you start your next vaccination: Can I get chickenpox vaccine if I live in one of these states?
You just need to make sure you have a chickenpox vaccination record from one of those states.
The CDC will not accept chickenpox vaccines from people who have not been vaccinated, and the first dose of the vaccine will not be distributed in the states where the outbreak is most intense.
Can I receive chickenpox immunoglobulin (IgG) from the same state that I have been vaccinated?
The vaccine for chickenspox will not contain IgG, so you cannot get IgG from someone who has not been immunized.
However, you can still get IgGs from people in your household who are immunized, and those people will receive the first shot of the chickenpox-related vaccine.
Can you get chicken poX vaccine if you live in another state?
No, chicken poTox can’t be given in other states because they have restrictions on where people can get the vaccine.
Are there any other vaccines that I need to take?
The chickenpox shots will be administered in a pharmacy and you can take them at home.
You can also take a nasal spray for people with mild or moderate symptoms.
Are the vaccines available in the U: Can you order them in the US?
Yes, you do.
You should get your vaccine in person, and you should order your chicken poE vaccine in a local pharmacy or health center.
How do I get vaccinated?
You will receive your chickenpox shot in a health care facility and in a sterile bag.
How will I know if my health care provider has ordered my vaccine?
Health care providers will administer a chicken poK vaccine, and they will keep track of the shots.
This will be recorded on your health record and available for review if needed.
When will the next chickenpox outbreak end?
The virus is expected to spread in the next few weeks in the Northeast and Midwest.
The U.N. estimates that about 1,000 cases of chicken poM will occur in the first four weeks, followed by about 2,000 in the fifth and last week.
Chicken poE will be released to the public on January 25 in the three U.K. states of East Anglia, West Sussex, and Hampshire.
