CVS said Tuesday it is expecting to announce in the next few weeks whether it will offer a CVS vaccine to residents of Louisiana.
A preliminary review of a batch of the CVS-CVS vaccine shows the vaccine’s effectiveness in lowering the risk of the coronavirus pandemic, according to a CHS statement.
It will be available for purchase by residents in the state on Tuesday.
“The preliminary review results support the findings of our review of the vaccine in Louisiana,” the company said.
The company said the results of its evaluation “are preliminary, and we will continue to evaluate the vaccine on an ongoing basis as we prepare to announce the full schedule.”
Louisiana residents can register for the vaccine at www.vax.com.
