Posted November 05, 2018 04:36:37In the first four days of November, Ohio will begin the rollout of the first of three vaccines that will be administered to those who have received a prior vaccine, according to the state.
In addition to the vaccine that was delivered to residents of Columbus on Tuesday, the state will also begin to distribute the NVV to Columbus residents in the coming days, the Ohio Department of Health and Senior Services (OHSDHS) announced Wednesday.
According to the OHSDHS, those who receive the NVVs first two doses will be given a booster shot as soon as possible.
That booster shot will be delivered to the community on Tuesday.
The other two doses of the NV-2 vaccine will be distributed to the Columbus area on Wednesday.
The third and fourth doses of NV-3 will be available for those residents who have not yet received the NV2 vaccine.OHSDSS said the new schedule includes no change to how people receive their shots, as well as no change in when they get their vaccine.
“In our opinion, this is a prudent and necessary step in ensuring Ohioans receive all the necessary vaccines that are required to protect them and their families,” OHSDSS spokesperson, Andrea O’Neil, said in a news release.
The state is notifying all Ohioans of the next step in the NVVS schedule, which will be scheduled for Friday, November 12, 2018.
